            Play Therapy is a type of psychotherapy , primarily used with children , that harnesses the natural power of play to help them process difficult emotions , express themselves, and resolve emotional and behavioral issues in a safe and trusting environment . Trained therapists use play as a form of communication, guiding children to express thoughts and feelings they may not be able to verbalize, leading to emotional and behavioral growth.   While it may look like an ordinary playtime, play therapy can be much more than that. A trained therapist can use playtime to observe and gain insights into a child’s problems. The therapist can then help the child explore emotions and deal with unresolved trauma .
